About Headers Live

What is Headers Live?

Headers Live is a comprehensive web analysis tool designed to help developers, security professionals, and website owners understand and analyze HTTP headers, TLS certificates, DNS records, and more.

It was born out of a need to see this kind of information, but I would not often be able to be near a computer terminal to be able to use commands such as curl or whois.

So I decided to create a website that would allow me to see this information from anywhere, without having to resort to computer commands and with ease.

Common Issues and Solutions

Why Your Website Headers Might Not Show

There are several reasons why Headers Live might not be able to analyze your website:

  1. Firewall or CDN Blocking: Your website might be blocking our requests
  2. Bot Detection: Some websites block automated requests - Cloudflare is known to do so!
  3. Geographic Restrictions: Your website might not be accessible from our servers
  4. Rate Limiting: Your server might be rate-limiting requests
  5. SSL/TLS Issues: Certificate problems can prevent analysis
  6. Network Connectivity: Temporary network issues

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Check if your website is accessible: Try accessing your website from different locations
  • Verify SSL certificate: Make sure your SSL certificate is valid and properly configured
  • Review security settings: Check if you're blocking legitimate analysis tools
  • Test with different URLs: Try both www and non-www versions of your domain
